President Donald Trump should pardon his former national security adviser and campaign aide Michael Flynn, who has taken the biggest fall, Flynns brother said Tuesday.
In a since-deleted tweet, Joseph Flynn said Trump must get the former Army general off the hook for his December 1 guilty plea stemming from his contacts with the former Russian ambassador. The plea deal is a part of Special Counsel Robert Muellers investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election and possible coordination with the Trump campaign.
About time you pardoned General Flynn who has taken the biggest fall for all of you given the illegitimacy of this confessed crime in the wake of all this corruption, Joseph Flynn tweeted, though the post was deleted after about 15 minutes.
Flynns tweet came after Trump posted his own mini-screed on Twitter complaining about Muellers probe, among other things.

Mueller must love the idiocy of these people, starting with Trump himself.

(8,733 posts)A pardon is an admission of guilt.
Accepting a pardon does not get him, it means he admits to the crime but cant go to jail.

(11,885 posts)Could he have stacks of further indictments that are State , which will be used against him that he can't pardon away, and it could trigger the same for him and all of the others including family that'll be up a creek with state indictments too if he tries it? Maybe what his lawyers were so upset about the other day after their meeting? There's more things he also can use against them, and maybe much worse. Could Trump have been in contact with his handlers on his back channel too , and could they be listening to him on it?
