Source: Variety
CBS News has fired its political director, Steve Chaggaris, after allegations of inappropriate behavior were brought to light.
In the last two weeks, accounts of inappropriate behavior by Steve Chaggaris were brought to our attention and were immediately investigated, CBS said in a statement provided to Variety Wednesday. As a result, CBS News has severed ties with Mr. Chaggaris for violating company policy, effective immediately.

But here are many, many, many people who can't say those things, and now that the dam has broken a lot of women want to be heard. And should be.
I was harassed weekly, sometimes daily when I was younger. It eats away little pieces of the women it happens to. Before now we all knew that nothing that could be done about it and if we tried to do something about it, WE would be the ones who paid a price.
The fact that people are listening now is a good thing.

(26,060 posts)This happens EVERYWHERE - the example I always use is the 16 year old girl working at McDonald's who wants extra shifts to pay for her prom dress and wont get them unless she blows the manager. The ones we read about are merely the high profile ones.
