Obama blasts ‘dishonest’ Romney-Ryan attacks over Medicare

President Barack Obama charged Wednesday that Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan are looking to slash Medicare benefits while leveling "dishonest" attacks accusing him of doing the same thing.

"They are just throwing everything at the wall to see if it sticks," Obama told a rowdy crowd of supporters in Dubuque on the third and final day of a bus tour through Iowa.

The president said his approach had "strengthened Medicare" and added 10 years to the program's lifespan, even as it enacts "reforms that will not touch your Medicare benefits, not by a dime."

"My plan's already extended Medicare by nearly a decade. Their plan ends Medicare as we know it," he charged. "My plan reduces the cost of Medicare by cracking down on fraud, and waste, and subsidies to insurance companies. Their plan makes seniors pay more so they can give another tax cut to millionaires and billionaires."

3. On NPR an Elderly Republican Who Was 70 Defended The Ryan Plan...

...Noting that it only goes to a voucher system for those who are 55 and younger, but that he would still get his benefits, thus it was unfair of Obama to attack Romney and Ryan for ending Medicare.

I was shocked. Here is a guy who was good with Romney and Ryan ending Medicare to pay for tax cuts now to the rich so long as he got his benefits. Talk about pulling the ladder up behind you.

4. Yeah, it's really sneaky how they're going about it.

Particularly because they spent the last two years bashing, say, mandates, they can now push a "personal responsibility" type of message where you go and "buy insurance" and such. They're a bunch of liars and their approach will destroy Medicare.

Mitt Romney's newly anointed 'Step-and-Fetch' sidekick Rep. Paul Ryan evidently solely passed a grand total of TWO bills into law during more than a DECADE of 'slash-and-burn 'service' to his unionized state-employees as well as his beleaguered elderly, poor and disabled Iowa constituents.

However, his latest initial effort thus far in forefront of their 2012 election campaign in November what they claim as the... "Rom on Rye GOP Nominees Health Care Platform" evidently (in reality) actually stands for: 'Razing' and Ruination' of Senior, Disabled Care and Choices for Caucasian Black and Latino Female Reproductive Rights.

There's one thing even more atrociously despicable than elected pols who knowingly, deliberately and unendingly demonize the poverty stricken, elderly/disabled by disseminating demoralizing mistruths and that is:

*Pols that do so - solely at the behest as well as exclusively in the best interests of their backers - in order to continue increasinly stock up the Republican party's and nominee's (unquestionably nearly bottomless) campaign war chest thaks to the Citizens United ruling

And who's next to demonized: Perhaps VA compensation for service-connected conditions; those veterans needing home care and inpatient hospitalizations? Will 'Rom on Rye' eventually demonize these guys and gals as well down the road?

Tough to stand by idly and remain silent when having th endure listening to this pampered and pompous pretty-boy prattle on endlessly and (during 'no-questions-please' campaign swings) whose Backup Over America Tour's primary idea of a "Return to American Values" is making the wealthy wealthier and simultaneously disassemble/dismantle and devolve into Turn Obama-Cares into the 'Rom On Rye' Medicare Mistruth and Misleading "Med-Who-Cares" plan.

What's at Stake? Health Care for all vs. Health Coverage to Forestall (that's what!)

Do we really want this 'Greedy Oppressive Party' continue to demonize our senior Medicare lifelines and demoralizing it's worthy beneficiaries - those who worked an entire lifetime in order just to be eligible for it - decent, independent folks; who are currently living on fixed incomes - who simply need a little or a even bit more aid when grandpa or granny's 'Misery' is acting up?

To top it all off; replacing 'ensured' insurance with "Scratch Ticket Vouchers" which take away our seniors and disabled people's vital (literally: can't-live-without-it) health care coverage while consequently forcing grandma and grandpa in a homeless shelter because they are unable to afford subsequent enormous deductibles and new co-payments - sacrificial vivisection of seniors formerly 'assured' Medicare coverage.

The Clear Choice in the 2012: "Charitable Benevolence for the Suffering and Disabled vs. Continued Tax Cuts!"

Why the Medicare health care coverage cuts now? When they are needed most? Solely so "Rom on Rye" and the likes of their fellow Koch & Co. backers and supporters can continue declaring maybe 14% or even less on their yearly tax 'burden.' The Grand Old Plan is distinctly now becoming visible to us all: They get to keep 86% of their enormous 'individual wealth' while the nations’ grannies and grandpas on Medicare get their health care slashed and cannot pay the enormous increases anymore? And who's next? Our war weary US service veterans, perhaps?

And who's next to be deamonized and demoralized down the Road to Ruin of the Backup Over America Bus Tour?

First 'welfare-queens' then the Seniors and Disabled and then down the road - Perhaps they will get sick of illusionary claims of VA benefits' hogging squanderers w/service-connected conditions as well as those veterans needing out-patient in-home care as well as prolonged inpatient hospitalizations?
