A technical sergeant at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada has been removed from her supervisory role and is now under investigation after posting a profane and racially charged video to Facebook.
Tech. Sgt. Geraldine Lovely of the 99th Force Support Squadron at Nellis filmed herself, in uniform, delivering an f-bomb-filled rant about the alleged attitude problems of black female airmen and noncommissioned officers under her.
It pisses me the [expletive] off that they [black female airmen] have no [expletive] respect and constantly having an attitude, Lovely said. What the [expletive] is up with that? ... Why is it that every time I encounter, you know, my subordinates that are black females, they have a giant [expletive] attitude?
Lovely appears to have broadcast it as a Facebook Live video within a secret Facebook group for Nellis airmen Friday morning. It was reposted Sunday on the unofficial Facebook page Air Force amn/nco/snco and quickly went viral.

Reminds me of this case almost 10 years ago here in Philly where black officers discovered some white officers were posting racist and other inflammatory stuff on a privately-run website called "domelights.com" -

(CNN) -- A group of black Philadelphia police officers filed a federal lawsuit Thursday against their department, alleging an online forum geared toward city police is "infested with racist, white supremacist and anti-African-American content." A group of black police officers claim other colleagues post racist messages on domelights.com during work. The suit alleges white officers post on and moderate the privately operated site, Domelights.com, both on and off the job.
Domelights' users "often joke about the racially offensive commentary on the site ... or will mention them in front of black police officers," thus creating "a racially hostile work environment," according to lawyers for the all-black Guardian Civic League, the lead plaintiff in the suit.
A look at the site's forums Friday for racist comments found several possibilities. Reads one: "In urban areas, it seems [African-Americans] living on welfare in paid for housing is ingrained in their culture as well as fighting. ... Kids, along with adults can't speak proper English or spell at a 3rd grade level, but they can sing among "theyselves" the lyrics to a rap song." Said another Domelights user of an African-American woman: "She is a classic example of that exact non tax paying, no car insurance driving, bad weave wearing, all the whitey's are racist black women."
The site's tagline is "the voice of the good guys."

(1,634 posts)Since this individual is a TSgt, shes attended Airman Leadership School and the NCO Academy. Shes been promotional tested (WAPS) several times since the rank of SrA. Probably some stellar performance reviews with a sprinkle of a few Achievement Medals.
As I and many other military members know, the Equal Opportunity policy is briefed and trained annually, and at every assignment. Having mentioned her typical AF experience, she violated AF Instruction and the UCMJ in displaying her racial views while in uniform therefore misrepresenting the AF.
When you enlist, you dont give up your constitutional rights. They are limited in favor of serving your country.
At least, the violation calls for Article 15 (non judicial punishment). At most, an Administrated Discharge or Seperation. Its up to her unit commander and Nelliss JAG on how far they want to press this issue.

(7,633 posts)I was only in the Army for 4 years but was a battalion legal clerk for the last two. We don't know all the facts, but if she truly posted that, I'm thinking Article 15 with reduction in rank and loss of at least a months pay. Minimum. She certainly needs to be able to tactfully handle the EM better, if that truly was her issue. People usually respect leadership if it's properly earned and applied. There's no need or excuse for getting all racial about it.

I imagine TSgt Lovely's command will provide soon to be Staff Sergeant Lovely a chance to acquire the skills she needs to lead her section if the opportunity ever presents itself again - That is not a sure thing - she may be denied the opportunity to re-enlist at the end of her current contract.
I'd like to point out that if a certain group consistently gives you an "attitude" perhaps you should check your own words and actions. One person may just be a head case, two people can be a coincidence, but this quote:
"every time I encounter, you know, my subordinates that are black females, they have a giant [expletive] attitude?
Makes me believe that the one thing all of them have in common is YOU
