Trump Policies Cost 10K Jobs In Solar Industry: Study

TRUMP'S POLICIES ARE COSTING 10K JOBS IN AMERICA'S SOLAR POWER INDUSTRY, SAYS STUDY

BY GRAHAM LANKTREE ON 2/7/18 AT 11:25 AM

President Donald Trump’s policies toward the American solar industry are partly responsible for the loss of nearly 10 thousands jobs last year, according to a new report.

The industry, which employs 250,271 workers—more than fossil fuel industries like coal and natural gas combined —lost 9,800 jobs in 2017, according to a census published Wednesday by the Solar Foundation, a nonpartisan nonprofit that advocates for the solar industry.

Last month the Trump administration put a 30 percent tariff on imported solar panels. But jitters leading up to that decision contributed to a the 3.8 percent decline in the number of jobs in the industry over the past year, the study found. The data was gathered from 5,930 solar energy industry players and other businesses that serve the industry.

The loss in the number of jobs was the first time the Solar Foundation has seen solar energy employment contract since it began tracking the number in 2010.

they just don't know it yet.

Meanwhile, in "shithole" countries they are building things that make fewer of them want to immigrate to America: The world's first solar airport no longer pays for electricity. http://money.cnn.com/2016/03/14/technology/india-cochin-solar-powered-airport/index.html

Other nations are moving forward while dipshit puts tariffs on solar panels. There are plenty of American workers involved in installing and managing solar projects using imported panels from Asia with African raw materials. Don't expect the tariffs will make American solar panel manufacturing great again.

Pres. Turd's math skills leave a lot to be desired.
