Embattled California congressman finds a way to bypass the mainstream media.

LOS ANGELES — House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, a relentless critic of the media, has found a way around the often unflattering coverage of his role in the Trump-Russia investigation — by operating his own partisan news outlet.

Resembling a local, conservative news site, “The California Republican” is classified on Facebook as a “media/news company” and claims to deliver “the best of US, California, and Central Valley news, sports, and analysis.” But the website is paid for by Nunes’ campaign committee, according to small print at the bottom of the site. Leading the home page this week: A photograph of Nunes over the headline: “Understanding the process behind #ReleaseTheMemo.”

The story, like many others on carepublican.com, largely excerpts other publications, including both conservative and mainstream sources. Headlines include “CNN busted for peddling fake news AGAIN!,” “California’s budget future isn’t as good as it looks” and “Billions of dollars later, Democrats and the LA Times start to see the light on high-speed rail.”

In a jab at fellow California Rep. Ted Lieu — an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump — the site entitled one blurb, “Dem CA Rep roasted on CNN, proceeds to make a fool of himself.”

Good ol' Devin. Ignoring his CON'dstituents and bullshitting everyone else. His idol owns the "drool-over- the-female-meat" pageants, while Devin is the inspiration for the annual "Dunce-of-the-year" awards!

3. I saw on CNN or MSNBC that his constituents

haven't dropped any of their support for him, despite the protesters outside his local office for a year and great anti-Nunes, The Moron, and Putin billboards. The people that they talked to were mainly white, older men and they are sticking with him. In your opinion do you see more Janz support than what the news is showing?

5. Too early to say

But as to his supporters, most of the one's that matter are in some way , shape or fashion - connected to agriculture. A lot of his faithful still cling to Nunes' idea that the drought here is a fabrication drummed up by the Dem leaders in DC. Never mind that there's NO precipitation from the sky - it's Pelosi and Reid's fault for not trekking to the Sierra Nevadas and doing a simple rain dance.

I will say I was blown away when I got a personally scripted and signed Thank You card - signed by Janz and his spouse - because of the $25 donation I sent when I'd first heard of him. Sadly - if he DOES unseat Nunes - he'll be forced to adopt the realities of federal service in DC. Read that: beating the bushes for money.

Is rallying people who see the problem and are willing to work to change the system.

I’m not affiliated w common cause other than as a supporter but I do think we have a great wind behind us with all political groups (except lobbyists) because our whole country knows our system is broken.

7. I get a lot of emails from diff Dem groups

and there are already donations being collected from all over the country to support Janz and defeat Nunes. This has gotten a lot of national attention and people are pissed off and are putting their money where their moth is. You'd be surprised over how much money Janz is getting. Now we just have to convince the Climate Change deniers to wake up and smell the coffee. I suppose that will be the task of people volunteering to go door to door armed with tons of fact based evidence.

It's not going to do him a bit of good. Every thing he's doing is documented either in the congressional record or via other public records for the most part.

Can't hide or defend your record, especially since you were licking tRUMP's feet instead of doing your job for your voters in your district.
