Trump launches new attack on Sessions: Disgraceful

Source: The Hill

BY JORDAN FABIAN - 02/28/18 09:49 AM EST

President Trump on Wednesday launched a new attack on Attorney General Jeff Sessions, calling it "disgraceful" that he has asked an inspector general and not Justice Department lawyers to investigate potential surveillance abuses.

The president said the Justice Department’s inspector general is ill-equipped to probe allegations that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) was improperly used to surveil members of his campaign team.

It is entirely reasonable to have the IG investigate what DOJ did on FISA. Not to mention, there is no proven "massive FISA abuse" and a President should not be saying that. In addition, he needs to stop all this "Obama guy" nonsense for positions like this.

.... and come down on them like the wrath of God plus a wall of a ton of bricks collapsing on them.

A professional, impartial, independent investigator might not rule against them as harshly as djt had in mind.

Punishment must be ruthless and unforgiving to make it perfectly clear - No one crosses "The Donald" !

This tweet, and so many recent tweets, seem unhinged, even by Trump's low standards.

He knows something is coming down on him and/or his family members. He's trying to create a diversion, and his AG is not cooperating.

It won't be long when the bottom falls out for this moron, and he will be unable to find anyone who will come to work in his administration. He's scraping the bottom of the barrel as it is. Trump won't be able to find qualified people to serve in his administration at his rallies. No one is going to risk their current jobs, their futures or their reputations to come to work for this raving lunatic.

If Jeff Sessions was not loyal enough for Donald Trump, what are his chances of finding someone to replace him who will (1) follow his commands, even if they are illegal and/or unethical, and (2) receive confirmation in a Senate that's only 51 to 49.

The walls are closing in and the sky is falling, Mr. President*, and there is no place left to hide.

No right thinking Republiscum would even think of taking the job appointmrnt. And even if he/she was appointed, the Democrats would eat that person alive even before a vote. That and the chance of anyone even remotely qualified applying....we'd shoot down just to spite the orange-maned Dotard!

we could count on any replacement being voted down.
Think of all of the questions raised as IQ45's Cabinet was being put into place.
Didn't most of them get in anyhow (yes, Granny Sessions being one of them!)?

I wish you were right - but my faith in the "system" is at an all-time low!

Because its not the Department of Trump Justice, yet anyway. He wants to be judge, jury, and executioner. He really wants absolute power, and not have to answer to anyone for anything he wants to do, and where the rule of law applies to everyone else except him and his family and for those few that kiss his ass.

... for the base. He can direct Session to take the action he’s complaining about. He could fire him if he refuses. He could do all of that face to face with Sessions. He just wants his base to think everyone is out to get him in this “Witch Hunt”, so that when he’s “gotten”, they will think he’s been done wrong.
