Trump lawyer complained he wasn't reimbursed for payment to Stormy Daniels: report

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 03/05/18 01:45 PM EST

President Trump’s lawyer complained to friends following the 2016 election that he had not been reimbursed for his payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

Michael Cohen paid Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, $130,000 as part of a non-disclosure agreement that ensured she would not speak about an alleged affair with President Trump. Cohen last month acknowledged that he made the payment, and denied it violated any campaign finance laws.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Cohen was working to secure a deal with Clifford’s representatives in October 2016, but was unable to track down Trump. As a result, he used his own funds to wire money to Clifford’s lawyer. Cohen’s bank later flagged the wire transaction as suspicious and reported it to the Treasury Department, The Wall Street Journal reported.

have been in those programs to discuss the articles.

Back when Murdoch owned the Boston Herald, my husband and I were involved in an issue that eventually became national news. The Herald's reporting was excellent while the editorials were all against us. The Boston Globe started the entire uproar and editorialized against us too.

This is what I'm talking about:

The bank used by President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer to wire $130,000 to a former adult-film actress flagged the transaction as suspicious and reported it to the Treasury Department, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The lawyer, Michael Cohen, wired the money to a lawyer for former actress Stephanie Clifford, known professionally as Stormy Daniels, from an account at First Republic Bank. The money was received on Oct. 27, 2016, 12 days before the presidential election, another

tRUMP has a reason not to pay him, because paying the lawyer would admit guilt by association. Not to pay him, will only link the lawyer to the porn star, but not tRUMP. It would be one man's word against the other. Stupidity reigns.

Dare him to sue. If he does, that proves they had a 'deal'. Guilty as charged.
