NRA sues over new Florida gun legislation: report

Source: The HILL

.
The National Rifle Association has reportedly filed a lawsuit over Florida gun legislation that was signed into law on Friday.

The lawsuit takes issue with the part of the bill that raises the age limit for purchasing all firearms from 18 to 21, according to the Associated Press. The NRA claims the regulation violates the 2nd amendment.

Florida lawmakers passed a bill this week that implements a three-day waiting period for purchase of most long guns and bans bump stocks, among other regulations. The bill came just a few weeks after the shooting that left 17 dead and more than a dozen injured at a South Florida high school.

Florida GOP Gov. Rick Scott signed the bill into law on Friday, despite opposition from the NRA

8. It's not the trained people you have to worry about.

It's the emotionally unstable teenagers that get the cops called on them 40+ times that no one follows up on that you have to worry about. The cops should have found something to charge him with, and convicted him of a felony to stop him from being able to legally buy a gun. That would have been better.

A lot of unarmed minorities have been killed by trained police "in fear of their life."

I do agree that we need to keep guns out of the hands of the unstable--especially those with records as you describe.

so turns out that voldemort gave tax breaks to a russian manufacturer of AK47s to come to the US and make their weapons of death in florida. This same manufacturer sells ak47s at the store that Cruz purchased his 7 rifles from. Cruz was confirmed to have an ak47 in that purchase. Yeah. Boom.

Scott was expected to announce his official big for Nelson's senate seat shortly after he signed this bill.
