Scarborough: Romney welfare ads are "completely false"
Source: The Hill
Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe today, responding to Mitt Romney's series of TV ads (here, here, and here), claiming that Barack Obama has gutted welfare reform.
"I've been looking for a week-and-a-half to try to figure out the basis of this welfare reform ad, I've scoured the Wall Street Journal editorial pages, I've scoured.... the ad's completely false. It's just completely false.
And I'm pretty stunned."

(582 posts)Could it be that Joe is just stunned about how completely the ad ignored reality? Sometimes I have trouble believing that anyone can accept some of the "truths" Republicans are passing around.

(13,390 posts)He disgusts me when he gets partisan, but I have to admit he is sometimes fair minded. And, I love it when he criticizes the GOP for bad politics.

(31,849 posts)when he argued that ryan has never said anything akin to what akin (hee, hee, hee) said ... and when Mika pointed out that he DID sponsor legislation that says the same thing, i.e., distinguishing between "legitimate" and "illegitimate" rape; but barring abortion in either case ...
His response ... "that's beside the point!"

(42,290 posts)His colleague Rachel Maddow has THOROUGHLY documented that Mitt LIES all the time. Bald-faced lies. At the drop of a hat. And sometimes for things that don't even matter.
The man is incapable of telling the truth, when the truth doesn't fit his world view.
