Kirk Cameron defends Akin: ‘I believe he’s a good man’ (VIDEO)

Source: Yahoo News/The Ticket

"I'm not his political strategist, thank God," Cameron, who interviewed Akin for his new religious documentary, "Monumental," told Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford. "Clearly, this is a man who is advocating the sanctity of life through and through. He said he misspoke and he apologized for it. I like to evaluate people based on their entire life, their entire career, and [what] they stand for. He loves his wife, he's got six children. I believe he's a good man. He's now in a very, very difficult spot."

It' not so much his viewpoint on "the sancity of life", it's the fact that he is a moron when it comes to the science of how babies are made. When a Congressman says something so uneducated it sends a chill down people's spines thinking that he is a decision-maker in the Congrss of the United States.

That being said, he has vaulted to #1 on the short list of Michelle Bachmann V.P. candidates.

"He loves his wife, he's got six children. I believe he's a good man."

If he truly loved his wife he wouldn't force her to carry and care for and feed and clean up after so many children. Supposedly he home-schooled them. Does anyone suppose he wasn't the bread-winner and tradtional male patriarch of his family, even if his career was 'politician'?

Note the male chauvinist language that uses a large number of children as a sign of being a "good man".
Note that the guy says "... his wife, he's got six children" rather than "... his wife, they've got six children".

Cameron just told everyone he's about as much a slimeball as Akin is. What a difficult spot his friend is in...why? And just what the hell is he really sorry for.

Hey Cameron, every stupid, fucking prick whoever got into power probably "loved his wife" (for what....) and had children, even lots of children. So fuck off with your "sanctity of life" and evaluating people based on their entire life bullshit. You must have appreciated Akin more when he was getting away with his lies. I think you're just worried about your documentary. Facade's coming off that too, I wager.

I'll believe Akin is sorry just as soon as he gives up his life of politics and joins a Zen monastery to really go deep into why he has such hateful thoughts about women. If he's not scared he might hurt somebody, he ought to be.

Until then, he's just another republican re-posturing after opening up his mouth and going off script.

These republicans have to work very hard at not showing what imbeciles they really are.

That Kirk Cameron's starting to look a LOT like Joe "Dead Intern" Scarborough? The eyes, especially.

Could be a result of squinting, shutting eyes hard in an attempt to doublethink and/or memorize obviously stupid bullshit for later regurgitation.
