Fox News Claims To Reveal Identity Of Navy SEAL Writing Bin Laden Tell-All

Source: HuffPo

But on Thursday, Fox News ran an item with what it claimed was the author's true name. It even named the town where he lives. The network cited "multiple sources" in its reporting.

And you call yourselves patriots? Sounds more like traitors to me.

On Edit: I thought I should clarify that the author, and co-author Kevin Maurer, are not associated with OPSEC; the group of retired SF and CIA associated with recent political attacks against the Obama Administration.

FAUX should be investigated for breaching national security, the safety of the author, and ST6.

I think this is all manufactured news. I think the book was written by DOD PR guys. This is part of the spin to get people talking about the "book" which is really just a massive PR/recruitment tool.

I wouldn't really believe a single word of it besides "Navy Seals, Afghanistan, Helicopters, and Bin Laden"

I guess I mean, just because Fox makes it a sensational story doesn't mean anybody should care. In fact, if they want something promoted I would make it a point to ignore them.

they are also painting a target on the authors head, and risk provoking retaliatory action that may effect more than just the author, but his family, friends, former teammates, and neighbors.

They are courting a possible mass casualty attack, and I am appalled.

... for identifying a traitorous ex-SEAL who's trying to profit from disclosing state secrets.

It all depends on what's actually in the book. If it's a fictional account by someone not associated with the actual mission, then let him rake in some money for being an entertainer. If it's a detailed and accurate account that reveals state secrets, then it doesn't matter that his name's revealed, maybe he'll be moved somewhere safer, like Leavenworth.

If Karl Rove is the Goebbels of the Republican Party, ask him about CIA agents sometime. Fox, always tells the truth, just half of it. The half that fits their agenda.
