Forecaster: Nunes seat no longer 'safe' Republican

Source: The Hill

BY AVERY ANAPOL - 04/28/18 09:19 AM EDT

Rep. Devin Nunes’ California seat is no longer “safe Republican,” a top election forecaster has determined.

Sabato’s Crystal Ball at the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics this week moved Nunes’ seat to “likely Republican,” as his Democratic challenger, Fresno County Deputy District Attorney Andrew Janz, continues to have fundraising success.

Nunes, a staunch defender of President Trump, is still far ahead of Janz, but the Crystal Ball notes that he will likely face a stronger challenge than expected.

Janz raised more than $1 million in campaign funds in the first quarter of the year, and said that Nunes has been ignoring constituents while “playing games on the House Intelligence Committee.”

Like Eric Candor who went down in defeat after spending most of his congressional career being the hotshot senator of the repugs (ignoring his own voters).

Nunes is worst...not just repugs deplore him, Nunes is obviously ignoring his voters in his district from what I understand, and is being a Mama's boy to president RUMP. Considering that he went behind Congress' back to report material(s) to pres. RUMP (by itself is a no no), Congress is supposed to be a barrier against presidential abuse(s).

Janz looks like a very viable candidate, I wish him the best!!

3. Nunes has been getting lots of daily MSM coverage and it's not (IMO) favorable.

Whether the negative news exposure trickles down and sways his conservative supporters remains to be seen.

I'll be cheering and popping corks if this despicable weasel loses his seat!

VOTE! Send money if you can.

Andrew Janz for CA-22!!

This lapdog and Issa are history. They will be voted out of office. Republicans hold only Orange County, home to four Republican-held congressional districts won by Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.
It's like a mass extinction in Calif.
After Californians file their federal taxes in 2019 I expect the excrement to hit the fan.

Are you in California? Are you sensing the mood the gig is up for these guys?

Let's also hope that Putin-loving, asshole Dana Rohrabacher gets his ass kicked too!
All these G.O.P. traitors need to be behind bars.

Welcome to DU Esteban!

...as always. There is a real sharp North County/South County split. Salud Carbajal came in when Lois Capps retired, and he's a good Dem like she was. But North County is backing a young conservative named Justin Fareed, who I think was born there. And we've had a population swing to the North.

In any case, never count your Dem chicks before they are hatched.

Or quitting. He barely won last time so I figure he saw defeat this time around and decided to bail.

His acts have not been political. They've been the acts of a criminal in smokescreen mode.

One way or the other, Devin Nunes is going down. Hard.

As the wave gets bigger and bigger every day, especially from trump and the GOP talking and still doing things to undermine this government, and to cover up what they're involved in. Nunes will lose his election bid from his own incompetence, and willingness to obstruct justice for trump. The next Congress, with a House and Senate majority, will be really doing a truthful and complete investigation, because as long as he's there it clearly won't be. He's a crook too. The American people will never accept the GOP again after all this, and its caving in on them all for this.
