Gallup: Facebook use surging among older adults

The number of older Americans using Facebook has significantly increased, according to a new Gallup survey.
Although the percentage of people ages 18 to 29 using Facebook has actually dropped by 2 percentage points since 2011, older people have been using Facebook much more.
The largest increase found by Gallup was for adults ages 50 to 64, of whom 52 percent used Facebook in 2018 compared to 34 percent in 2011.
The percentage of people 65 and older who use Facebook also increased from 18 percent in 2011 to 32 percent in 2018.

(4,268 posts)It's over a 7 year period (when Facebook was experiencing very healthy growth) so of course it's "surging". Not sure I would use that word over such a long period though.
I'd love to see what the increase was from 2016 to 2018. I bet you it's not a big "surge".
