The Trump administration will not approve state requests to impose lifetime limits on Medicaid coverage, a clear line in the sand on conservative changes to the health care program for the poor and sick.
Weve indicated we would not approve lifetime limits, and weve made that pretty clear to states, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Seema Verma said Tuesday.
Earlier this month, the administration rejected Kansass request to impose lifetime limits on beneficiaries, but Maine, Arizona, Utah and Wisconsin have also requested to cap how long people receive benefits.
The other waivers vary, but the proposals are generally tied to work requirements. Utah and Arizona both seek a maximum of five years eligibility. In Arizona, the five-year window would only apply when a beneficiary doesnt meet the work requirement.

Think about that! Time to pressure your Reps in Washington and give them an earful. Show up at their Town Halls if they hold them. Ask them this on their campaign stops. Do not let anyone run away from this.
