Some Tennessee Republicans dodge questions about GOP abortion language

Source: Leaf Chronicle -- Clarksville/Fort Campbell TN

Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander disagrees with the anti-abortion language his party’s platform committee adopted in Tampa this week.

The Republican National Convention’s Platform Committee adopted language that called for outlawing all abortions and made no exceptions for rape, incest or threats to the life of the mother.

<snip>

But only Alexander and Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Brentwood would offer definitive positions on whether there should be exceptions.

Despite repeated attempts through e-mails and phone messages, Republican Reps. Stephen Fincher of Frog Jump and Scott DesJarlais of Jasper, as well as Sen. Bob Corker would not respond to the question about whether there should be exceptions for cases of rape, incest or threats to the life of the mother.

The teabaggers care a lot less about rape victims than they do about making sure every fetus gets born... but feck 'em once they've been born of course.

If their sisters, mothers or daughters would be or have been raped they would stand up and

even be angry as hell, but in this time of division, standing up against liberals on abortion is the major cause of the moment. One of reason

Teabaggers

have guns is to protect their women.

BTW the movie Birth of a Nation, check that crazy movie out.

her medical care.

Even discussing a women's right to her own medical decisions is giving credence to the RW attitude of "pregnancy as punishment".

Why allow the discussion to be side tracked?

And why does every single Republican care about when life begins - when it's none of their EFFING business.

Currently I am writing to my very pro-choice Congresswoman a letter strongly suggesting forced sterilization if they are identified as pro-life bastards.

They have no idea what it's like.

I have seen enough.

I'd rather let the real professionals take care of the jobs, and that is the doctors' responsibility

Every Rethuglicans who are "pro-life" ought to be billed for the 18 years of taking care of the unwanted baby - at a rate of $350,000 for 18 years. Oh, and adjust for mandatory 20% COLA per year.

I no longer care for any Rethuglicans who don't understand the concept of taking care of themselves, and ask that they stay out of our businesses.

I am a male, and I'm pro-choice. I think abortions should be safe, legal and RARE - as about 75% of Americans.

be forced to adopt an ophan, or an unwanted American child. Time for them to put their money where their mouths are & put up or shut up!
We have thousands of kids waiting for homes here in America, but the only kids they seem willing to adopt are Chinese or Russian, somehow this carries more "status" in the "Christian" country club. Apparently God gives more Heaven points for Chinese or Russian kids.
