WHITE TEACHER MOCKS BLACK ELEMENTARY STUDENT'S HAIR ON INSTAGRAM

Source: Eurweb

CHERIE SAUNDERS JUNE 7, 2018 AT 6:15 AM

*A Canadian school board is investigating a white substitute teacher after she made fun of a black student’s hair on Instagram.

In the now-deleted post, a picture of Marlon Wayans as his character “Loc Dog” from the 1996 satirical film “Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice In the Hood”—his hair in plaits sticking out in three different directions—was placed next to the photo taken of a black child whose hair was in similar plaits with the caption “Who rocked it better?? LOLOLOL.”

A Twitter user who came across the post alerted the Peel District School Board.

“Hi @PeelSchools,” wrote @giaper, “please be informed that a grade school teacher with your district is 1) openly mocking her students’ appearance and posting photos of them on social media 2) tagging the location of the school on her Instagram, putting them in danger.”

for over 150 years, where black children were called "picaninnies". It was entrenched in the American psyche through product advertisement, films, and cartoons, and that entrenchment was passed on from generation to generation to generation, to the point where almost 25 years ago, my sisters and I pitched a fit at a nearby craft store that was selling pre-formed wood "characters" that included (and was labeled as) a "pickaninny". When we complained to the store manager, we were told "Well it's just 'folk art'".

Nowadays, social media blasts the stereotype-that-won't-die around the world. But then the same social media can counter it as well.

Don't know how you kept from doing spontaneous human combustions!

How could anyone, anywhere, dare to refer to that tripe as "folk art"?

She would have been right in saying "That's pure evil, that's what it is. Profound ignorance, hatefulness, and evil".

Thanks for posting the various vicious products. Not only should the companies making them have been driven out of business, but also the merchants who would have considered selling them.

Shameful, shocking, another kind of dirty, sneaky evil to despise.

and during this entire process, not once did the fucking racist think to himself, "hmmm, probably not a good idea".

and that in a nut shell is why this piece of shit is a fucking racist. no ounce of human decency nor common sense.
