Dutch Queen's Sister Found Dead At Buenos Aires Home

The younger sister of Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has died at her home in the Argentine capital, reports say.

Ines Zorreguieta was 33. It is believed she took her own life. A Dutch government spokesperson told Dutch NOS TV that her death appeared to be suicide.

She was a bridesmaid at her sister's wedding to then Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander in 2002 and is the godmother to their youngest daughter, 11-year-old Princess Ariane.

Queen Maxima, a native Argentinian, was "very shocked and very sad" at her sister's death, the royal house said...

Macri (Argentina's right-wing president) had tried to curry favor with Máxima by giving Inés a plum, $3,000 a month job at the Casa Rosada - in a country where the average monthly salary is $1,000.

Inés, God rest her, had no qualifications for the post, and reportedly showed up only sporadically.
