I thought I was going insane and haven't had time to look it up. Consensus from the legal eagles on tv seems to be the judge is going to be pretty pissed.

is going to be upgraded. To be honest, he should go into witness protection, as he might mistakenly drink polonium tea or shoot himself in the head several times.

... whether to jail him based on the strength of the evidence Meuller has of tampering. The indictment doesn’t really change the analysis - except to imply that the evidence is pretty strong if it will also support an indictment.

Manafort’s lawyers will try to get a continuance, I suspect, based on more time needed to prepare for trial on these new charges. (Note that I’m not sure which court these new charges are filed in, the one set for trial next month or the one set later this year).

if he’s jailed, he may be less likely to seek postponements since he’ll be sitting in jail. I still think he’s counting on a pardon to keep him out of prison on all the charges. It will be interesting to see how it develops.

What I understand is the Manafort is screwed because there are several indictments that have been filed against him, that means he is, possibly, guilty of multiple crimes.

The question: the man-child can only pardon someone for one crime, but the person will face charges for the other crimes? It is not an absolute pardon. That is how I understand it.

/6 And by the way, those accusations that Manafort committed a crime on bail? Mueller got a grand jury indictment, establishing probable cause. That may be all the judge requires. Manafort's in trouble. I mean, even in the context of someone facing multiple indictments trouble.

falsely, that it was Mueller alone who secured the indictment and it's just more of the "witch hunt". If a grand jury hands down an indictment, chances are extremely good that there is evidence of a crime.

So Trump can go sit and spin on his "witch hunt" bullshit.

operative. As an associate of Paul Manafort his activities have become a point of focus in the 2017 Special Counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections. Kilimnik is believed by CNN and The New York Times to be "Person A" listed in court documents filed against Manafort and alleging Person A to either have ties to Russian intelligence agencies or to be a Russian intelligence operative. He is also believed to be Person A in court documents filed in the criminal indictment of Alex van der Zwaan.

Kilimnik was still working for Russian intelligence when, during September and October 2016, he was known to be communicating with the Trump campaign. Gates admitted contact and so did Manafort.[5] Manafort has said he and Kilimnik discussed the Democratic National Committee cyber attack and release of emails, now known to be undertaken by Russian hacker groups known as Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear.[11]
