Trump reveals that the first lady is under doctors' orders not to fly for a month

Source: The Washington Post

By John Wagner and Emily Heil

June 8 at 12:09 PM

President Trump on Friday shared new details about his wife’s health, telling reporters that her medical procedure last month lasted nearly four hours and that she is under doctors’ orders not to fly.

As he prepared to leave the White House, Trump said that first lady Melania Trump wanted to accompany him on his travels to Canada and Singapore but that she was unable to go.

“Can’t fly for one month, the doctors say,” the president said. “She had a big operation. That was close to a four-hour operation.”

Trump, however, said his wife is “doing great,” pointing upward toward the White House residence.

https://www.usnews.com/news/news/articles/2018-06-08/trump-says-first-lady-had-4-hour-operation

Doctors not involved in Mrs. Trump's care but familiar with the procedure said embolization most likely was used to remove a type of noncancerous kidney tumor called an angiomylipoma. Embolization is a minimally invasive procedure in which doctors snake a catheter into blood vessels of the kidney to find the right one that is feeding the tumor so they can block the flow of blood to the growth.

Dr. Lambros Stamatakis of MedStar Washington Hospital Center said embolization can take hours because of the time needed to find the right blood vessel. Trump's four-hour estimate could cover when his wife was wheeled off to receive anesthesia and time in the recovery room after she came to, Stamatakis said.

He said a procedure that can last a couple of hours on a "normal" patient could run longer on a VIP patient because doctors "may take a couple extra hours to make sure everything is as perfect as it possibly can be."

Stamatakis added that five days in the hospital may have been because the first lady was in a government hospital.

"The issue about flying, that is completely and utterly arbitrary," he said. Typically doctors might want a patient to stay nearby, rather than taking a far-away trip, in case they need follow-up care. But he said there's seldom a reason for a patient to avoid flying if the patient has left the hospital with no problems.

that took nearly 8 hours on the table... and used 7 different catheters going from major arteries in the neck and groin areas...

And after a night in the hospital (my insistence) was able to go home the next day and (carefully) climb two flights of stairs to my apartment where I rested for 3 more days.

At no time did any doctor tell me not to fly anywhere.... and I was back to work in under 4 days and was more or less normal in around 2 or 3 weeks.

I even managed to make an appearance at a good friends birthday party on the second day home (someone drove me to / from and I didn't stay very long).

You can't fly for a month or so afterwards (I had a friend who had those instructions). She was all swollen and full of fluids, with drains sticking out of her and such...flying exacerbates that or something.)

Second is liposuction or tummy tuck (she has a tummy, which although I'd love to have a body like hers, to her I'm sure she'd consider it not up to par w/the rest of her body).

If she just had a cyst or something removed, I don't think that requires not flying for a month.

all that was a bogus smear? A genuine smear could have gotten me in trouble.

Allegedly.

Its good to know someone is allegedly looking out for the Shitgibbon's alleged honor. He's a public figure who puts his own crap out there on the street. He'd better be expecting a certain amount of crap back.

Its not as if I called him a secret Muslim with a bogus birth certificate veiling a foreign origin which of course is an example of a genuine smear.

They finally showed the pictures on tv. The nudies...or close to nudies. If she's so inclined to do tht, then chances are better than not that she's a party girl. As such, I'm sure the dr was around long enough to have her on a class A oxycontin addiction.
Just speculation based on what IVE read, and seen.
We are talking about people who cannot say no to themselves. She's probably in treatment for drugs or a cosmetic tune up. Treatment for the first lady(?) but no treatment for people addicted to drugs coast to coast. Hey, let the good times roll if your'e a tr.

He was not even present during the surgery. He came to visit later that day or so we were told. So how “big” her surgery was could be another one of his whoppers.

Some people don’t fly soon after surgery because they fear blood clots. Maybe she was discouraged from taking such a long flight to Singapore. I’d skip it, too, if tRump was my spouse and I had to be cooped up on AF1 that long. There isn’t a plane in the world big enough to get her away from him.

Missing the Camp David Hoe Down was probably so the family could pow wow about how to handle the divorce proceedings. I have no love for Melania but if she has a lick of sense, she will divorce his sorry ass before he gets impeached and loses his ill gotten gains. Get out while she can.

However, there are some who recommend no flying for 6 weeks after laparoscopic surgery. They put some kind of gas into the abdomen to make room to do surgery and it is retained. Apparently flying might cause the gas to travel inside you inappropriately.

OR, it could just be one of his regular lies.
