Trump, Kim to fly into Singapore on Sunday

Source: The Korea Times

SINGAPORE ― U.S. President Donald Trump will fly into Singapore and check in at The Shangri-La Hotel on Sunday, two days ahead of his historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, according to hotel officials, Friday.

They said Trump plans to spend four days from June 10 to 13 and leave a day after the summit, which is due to begin June 12 at 10:00 a.m. (KST).

The North Korean leader is also expected to arrive in Singapore on Sunday. Reuters reported on Friday that Kim will land at Singapore's Changi airport on Sunday, citing a source involved in the planning of the trip.

It is unknown if the same-day arrival of the two leaders was decided through negotiations of the two countries. It's possible Trump and Kim could meet secretly somewhere in the city-size state before their first official summit on Tuesday.

So, Kim and trump may have a secret meeting? And I thought the US Secret Service wore suits, not tee shirts and khakis.

Very tightly controlled law enforcement there. I saw signs all over the city saying "Singapore has death penalty for drug dealers". But the city is very nice, great food and modern infra-structure. 70% Chinese + Indians & Arab populations. The airport had 40-50 PC's for passengers free use of internet. Most impressive to me was the network of ultra-modern underground hi-way system. Well lighted and fast!

A Chinese private jet is on its way to Singapore from North Korea... possibly carrying Kim Jong-un to his summit with U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to flight-tracking website Flightradar24,... the Air China plane took off from Pyongyang Airport at around 8.30 a.m.,... after arriving from Beijing earlier in the morning.
The site says the plane initially reported that it was bound for Beijing... but as it neared the Chinese capital it changed its flight number... and its destination."

Trump Kim summit: North Korean leader arrives in Singapore

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has arrived in Singapore for a scheduled summit with US President Donald Trump. The meeting - the first between a leader from the North and a sitting US president - will take place on Tuesday. Mr Trump described it as a "one-time shot" at peace and said the two were in "unknown territory".

President Trump will arrive later on Sunday. The US hopes the summit will kick-start a process that eventually sees Mr Kim give up nuclear weapons.

12. I think this is about keeping Trump and Kim in power
Sun Jun 10, 2018, 06:52 AM

Keeping Trump in power by attempting to maximize his popularity and policy successes and keeping Kim in power by boosting his standing on the world stage and boosting the economic standing of his regime. Xi is definitely driving his own agenda as much as he can on the Korean side and Putin outright said he would do everything possible to help the success of this summit (no doubt feeding information and instructions during one or more of his regular talks with Spanky). It's a shame that a noble and worthy goal is largely motivated by the agendas of three despots and a wannabe, but I guess it's for the greater good.
