Dems hit Trump on North Korea summit

Source: The Hill

BY JULIA MANCHESTER - 06/12/18 09:14 AM EDT

Democratic leaders and lawmakers slammed President Trump on Tuesday after his denuclearization summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, citing U.S. concessions to Kim and North Korea's human rights record.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) accused Trump of handing his North Korean counterpart vague concessions. "Apparently, the President handed Kim Jong-un concessions in exchange for vague promises that do not approach a clear and comprehensive pathway to denuclearization and non-proliferation," Pelosi said in a statement.

She went on to hit North Korea's human rights record and accused Trump of elevating North Korea to the level of the U.S.

“In his haste to reach an agreement, President Trump elevated North Korea to the level of the United States while preserving the regime’s status quo," Pelosi said.

I'm not trying to equate us with North Korea, but our moral high ground isn't as high as some people think.

We don't have a Cable News Network and 1,200 Radio Stations that will repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat.......

The Democratic slam of this piece of shit deal 24/7...and do it so often that the NY Time and the alphabets in the MSM decide that they have to cover it too.

Dems make valid and provable points that this is a fucking sham. It's heard one time and then goes into the ether.

Donnie Shit for Brains questions President Obama's birth, and it gets amplified a million fold until the fucking White House Press corps asks about it everyday during the Daily Briefing.

Fuck this country...and fuck anyone who is not fucking boycotting the advertisers of every god damn radio station in the country!

The problem is this little tin god that's going around saying he represents this country.

In looking at the 4 main points of this "agreement", I don't see anything other than keep on keeping on. Besides maybe getting some of our soldiers' remains home finally.

I think tRump soft balled the whole thing because he knew he couldn't live up to rhetoric. He was afraid Un would walk out and make him look worse than ever.

I bet the only thing they actually agreed on is a nice piece of chocolate cake.

Elected an asshatted clownish, bloviating, bragadocious racist as president, has Mitch McConnel as Senate Majority Leader, Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House, allowed a party to steel a Supreme Court Lifetime Appointment, elected Retrumplican asshats to 33 Governor's Mansions, put Retrumplicans in charge of 2/3RD's of the State Houses...and ignores the 2,000 AM Radio Stations and Koch/Sinclair funded media that cements Retrumplican power

This country has Confederate Jeff as the highest ranking law enforcement officer in the land.

This country has a fucking dimwitted, racist Amway saleslady as Secretary of Education.

This country has a prick that belches coal smoke as the head of the EPA.

This country is ripping babies out of the arms of their mothers and fathers by force and setting up tent cities to house them.

and that's just scratching the surface.

And I don't give a fuck how many times someone posts on DU, ...WE OWN THIS FUCKING SHITSTORM. If you are an American, even a liberal or progressive...this is YOUR FUCKING COUNTRY. Please don't try to separate those in power from the peoples responsibility for putting them there.

Actually, come to think of it "FUCK THIS FUCKING COUNTRY" is too tame!

10. The reporter totally misstated Pelosi's comment before she then quoted it

"House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) accused Trump of handing his North Korean counterpart vague concessions" That is NOT what the quote says - it says that trump traded consessions for vague promises by NK.

I assume this was just poor writing because she then quotes Pelosi.
