Mueller Warns of Active Russian Meddling, Seeks Disclosure Lid
Source: Bloomberg
U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller warned that Russian intelligence services have active interference operations in the U.S. and asked a judge to limit the pretrial evidence provided to a Russian firm indicted over meddling in the 2016 election.
The substance of the governments evidence identifies uncharged individuals and entities that the government believes are continuing to engage in interference operations like those charged in the present indictment, prosecutors wrote.

There are still individuals and entities engaged in attacking our country on behalf of Russia. Mueller still plans on charging more people.
Wonder when and whom he plans on charging.

(49,010 posts)About 70% are simply loving the power they got, even if the party can't govern even with majorities. They are very fearfully looking over their shoulders at the blue wave, but they figure hey that's tomorrow.
About 20% are as complicit as heck and are trying to cover their asses.
About 10% are wondering what the hell their party has become and publicly don't like it. 10% is not enough to save the party.

They are all backing a foreign power and a corrupt thieving White House resident who is destroying the post-WWII alliance system that kept all all safe. All because he wants to help Russia, for whatever reason - money or blackmail - we dont know.
This is a national emergency and anyone not working to throw out Republicans is complicit.

(27,820 posts)But as far as Article 1, Section 3,
It will never happen as long as Eddie Munster & the GOP (Gang of Pigs) control the House of Representatives.
Impeachment starts in the House, and, if the House votes to impeach, THEN it's sent to the Senate under Article 1, Section 3 for possible conviction.
We, as Democrats, MUST DO ALL WE CAN TO REGISTER MILLIONS OF NEW VOTERS BEFORE
THE NOVEMBER MIDTERMS
We have to attract millions of millennials to help accomplish this.
We NEED the 18 to 30 year-olds to A) Register to vote, B) Help get their friends & others to register to vote, and then C) we need to GET OUT THE VOTE BY THE MILLIONS before November 6 of this year.
The Republicans can only steal elections that are CLOSE (Obama proved this in 2008 & 2012)
Please let it be so.

(30,613 posts)I agree that we need to register millions of voters and get them to show up in November.
However, even if we win 100% of the races, impeachment is mathematically impossible. If we do well, we'll flip the House, maybe (long shot) get a slim majority in the Senate. Those things would help reign in Turd. But impeachment requires 2/3 in the Senate and that's not a possibility.
So we need to keep sight of the fact that the Constitution expressly permits indictment of the President, and even an Impeachment does not foreclose criminal indictment, trial, and punishment - it is explicitly not a double-jeopardy situation.
