Christie: GOP shouldn't have to condescend to women

Source: cbs news

(CBS News) A new CBS News poll shows President Obama with a 10-point advantage over Mitt Romney among women, but New Jersey's Republican Gov. Chris Christie said his party shouldn't have to shift its message to win over women voters.

"I think there's a fallacy about having to cater to a particular sector of the electorate," Christie said on "CBS This Morning" Tuesday. "I think its condescending to women to say we have to have a different message for women than we have with men."

If you can't take the same sort of criticism you dole out on a daily basis toward others, then don't do it.

Christie and the GOD party, errrr, the GOP, are constantly judging less fortunate people in a very
personal way. if fatso doesn't want to be criticized, then grow a heart and start having some empathy
for people less fortunate than his dumb ass.

65. in order to steal it via election fraud....
Tue Aug 28, 2012, 01:24 PM
Aug 2012

The Romney campaign, in order to keep the Tea Party and the right wing bigots/racists energized have pissed on Blacks, Hispanics, the elderly and women.

It is true that the GOP is perpetrating election fraud via voter disenfranchisement but that is only one form of election fraud they are using. They are also counting on rigging the ballot tabulators (diebold and etc.), in key areas.

In order to steal an election via this kind of fraud, they have to get it somewhat close. Had GW Bush pushed away the women votes exactly like this Al Gore would have won by a margin insurmountable by the election fraud used back then.

This time around We The People are much much more aware of the GOP election fraud tactics. They are mobilizing to get the disenfranchised re-enfranchised wherever they can.

The Obama administration is also pushing back where it can too. (Yes we wish it were more but to say it is not doing enough is to suggest that President Obama plans on losing the election!).

Proof that the Romney campaign is concerned will come after the RNC is over. They will then try to recoup those they pushed away starting with the women vote. Personally I think they have done too much damage there.

Overall, this election should be an overwhelming landslide for President Obama imho. The GOP and their handlers will be cheating their asses off in order to keep it close. Even though they will likely lose, by keeping things close they seek to keep up the illusion of a nation almost evenly divided. Otherwise, as many predict, a landslide loss by the GOP will cause a cascade effect that fragments the party into two or more factions, emasculating it as a political force for decades to come.

Hmm?

They don't mind having different laws for women than men, why not a different message? I don't see nearly as many laws telling MEN what they can or cannot do with their reproductive organs or their bodies.

Isn't it interesting that these Republicans are willing to put a lot of effort into CONTROLLING women, but very little into COMMUNICATING with them?

I think so.

Wouldn't a man care if his wife or girlfriend can get a safe abortion if the two of them face a pregnancy that the two of them don't want for whatever reason (rape, health of the mother, or other reason that the two of them have come to agree on)?

Yeah keep thinking that. Women love the idea that men want to regulate their uterus by denying them abortions even in cases of rape and incest, tell them not to use birth control, teach them only abstinence, favor letting insurance companies charge women more, then make it impossible for the poor women who live in such a world to support the kids they are forced to have by not supporting a women's right to equal pay for equal work. Women get it. Republicans hate them. You don't need to condesend to us. you've already alienated most.

I heard from a lady once. Her husband used to tell her she had to vote Republican because if she didn't, her vote would cancel his vote out. Guess how she voted when she got into the booth? I'd love to see a lot of 'subjugated' 'Republican' women do the same and have a feeling many will.

The reality of the matter is that not all women are feminists. And it's silly to pretend that they are. Women like Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, or Nikki Haley are not going into the voting booth and secretly voting for Obama. I can assure you that is not going to happen. Let's be realistic.

there are women who hate their own sex. A good book to read is "the secret of Joy". it's about girl circumcision in africa. In the book, it is women performing the painful procedure on girls, sometimes with nothing but a piece of broken glass. women who sew them up so that they can't enjoy sex-only men are supposed to have that honor.

Sometimes, we have some women who act all tough, like one of the boys; because they want to be one of the boys. Then, you have some women who only want to go through life with someone else in charge or want to be taken care of; and some women have just been bullied, abused at an early age to just accept their "place."

and, if that's the way they think, it's fine by me; as long as they don't attempt to thrust their beliefs on me or any females in my family.

So, we're "feminists" because we believe in human rights. I see, jane adams must also have been a "feminist."

Let me make it simple for you Blubbo. Your party is trying to supress women's reproductive rights. Furthermore many men like myself support those rights.

interest group.

It's boors like Christie and Akins et al who are going to make it easy for Obama in the home streach.

They really do have contempt for women not just women's issues and their shouting it to the world in this convention.

It's Texas Holdem and the TeaFascists are betting their whole roll.
