Official: Pruitt 'inching forward to the tipping point'

(CNN) - Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt, facing additional reporting about his many controversies, is "inching forward to the tipping point," a senior administration official said.

The official, describing the feeling within the administration towards Pruitt, wondered whether the EPA administrator would still hold his job as he could crop up in Democratic candidates' ads hitting President Donald Trump's "swamp." Ultimately, the decision is with Trump.

White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley told reporters on Tuesday that Trump is looking into the "numerous reports" about Pruitt.

"The President feels as though Scott Pruitt has done a really good job with deregulating the government, to allow for a thriving economy, that's important to him, but these things matter to the President as well, and he's looking into those," Gidley said. "When we have an announcement, we'll make it."

the "tipping point" would be someplace waaaaay behind him... like when he had a staffer make the reservations AND pay for hotel rooms for his family for the inauguration.

Those were the good old days--when reason prevailed. It seems so long ago now.

4. Tipping point? This situation hit rock bottom when Trump selected him.

He is doing the job that he was selected to do. He was charged with destroying the EPA and every law that hampered business from maximizing profits. This is the Age of the Oligarchs. They make the rules and the Republican congress will codify them. I will wait and see, hopefully I will still be around, if the American public will awaken to the fact their beloved Constitution is being shredded.

I suppose this is like the last straw that broke the camel's back thingy. Hell, the camel's back isn't broken, it died the day Trump was elected. If it had survived until now it would have been put out of its misery for decency's sake.

If Trump is reviewing his status, he should expect a promotion.

I wouldn't be surprised if the word 'pruitt' comes into play in the future, that will come to mean government waste and government incompetence, such as Benedict Arnold does today in being a traitor.

Pruitt is not a dedicated public worker. All he is, is a grifter who is wholly scheming how to smooch off the system for himself and family, and seems narcissistic too, which is probably why he gets along w/ rump.
