TOKYO Secretary of State Mike Pompeo shot back against North Korea on Sunday, saying the regimes criticism that U.S. negotiators acted in a gangster-like way during his two-day visit to Pyongyang was unfounded.
If those requests were gangster-like, the world is a gangster, said Pompeo, noting that U.S. demands for North Korea to denuclearize were supported by a consensus at the U.N. Security Council.
The secretary of state also said that despite a critical statement released by North Koreas Foreign Ministry on Saturday night, he thought the two sides had made progress during the meeting and that his North Korean counterpart, Kim Yong Chol, negotiated in good faith during the meeting. Pompeo added that the U.S. and world powers would maintain economic sanctions against North Korea until full denuclearization was achieved.
Americas top diplomat was speaking in Tokyo, where he had met with the foreign ministers of Japan and South Korea as well as Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to discuss the progress made during his trip to North Korea. Pompeo had visited the isolated nation Friday in a bid to further a recent denuclearization agreement.

(16,079 posts)Someone needs to tell Pompeo he doesn't speak for the world, he went to NK as a representative of the United States and just like his orange faced master was played like a cheap fiddle!!!
Pompeo isn't qualified to be a one of those people who shovel up manure after a rodeo parade, much less a diplomat!!!
The US may win a confrontation with NK, but not before hundreds of thousands are killed to satisfy the ego of two pathological psychopaths...Trump and Kim!!!

(18,124 posts)with a conscience and an ability to reason knows this administration in D.C. is full of thugs, crooks, wannabe and true gangsters whose gangster-ism was honed in the rough and tumble streets and corporate offices of New York City. Oh did I mention also full of con-men, sexual perverts, liars, deplorable and vicious, despicable racist beings barely passing as human? Yeah I did. Many have. Yet here we are nationally and internationally. Jeez Fubar for at least a generation. Maybe NEVER to be trusted, by our staunchest allies, ever again? The consequence and repercussions of this king's fool-jester posing as potus, immeasurable. Period.
