George Clooney reportedly hurt in motorcycle crash in Italy

Italian media say actor George Clooney has been hospitalized after he was involved in an accident while riding a motorcycle in Sardinia.

Local daily La Nuova Sardegna says Clooney’s injuries aren’t serious, but that he was taken to the John Paul II hospital emergency room. He reportedly suffered slight trauma to the pelvic region and bruises to one arm and one leg.

Clooney was joined by his wife, Amal Clooney, and the two left the hospital together in a private car.

The daily says the 57-year-old Clooney had been headed to a film set on Tuesday when his motorcycle was hit by a car. Private Mediaset, citing gossip magazine Chi, said the accident occurred near Costa Corallina, in the province of Olbia.

They only get to go there a few times a year. Clooney has a movie shooting in Sardinia (island off the mainland) so that's why he's in Italy now. The article in People says that they hosted the parents and family of Amal over the Memorial Day weekend. Most times of the year they live in London.

I love that guy. There is a huge more-than-life-size photo of him (for Nespresso) in my hometown and I just think he's just adorable. I always smile when I see it. I will always love George and think Amal is a lucky gal to have him. I think she's the one. Good for both of them.

speech that she gave at the award ceremony last month and I laughed when she said she thought she'd be a spinster until she met George. What a love story that is! I hope they are very happy and would love to see the twins someday too. Wonderful story and life for them. Of course, both are humanitarians so they are perfect together! Yes.
