Foley said Timothy Trybus faces two counts of felony hate crime, which are enhancements on the charges of misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor disorderly conduct he was previously charged with.

*VIDEO at Link. Besides the man's actions and comments, it was the apparent inaction of a forest preserve police officer, seen in the background, that elicited heavy criticism..The fallout since the video's dissemination has been swift: The officer, Patrick Connor, who had been placed on desk duty on June 24 during an internal investigation, resigned on Wednesday amid calls for the forest preserve district to terminate his employment.

(Officer) Connor told the victim the suspect (Timothy Trybus) is not a threat & is just a ‘loudmouth,’
but the suspect (Trybus) has a history of battery arrests.

This guy was drunk off his ass, and he probably knows it's part of the USA now that he has sobered up.

Trump doesn't drink and he still doesn't know.

Good good good! An example needs to be made!

Bullying assholes like that guy are cowards, and one person he would never try it on is me. Not twice, anyway.

I haven't been in a physical confrontation (apart from controlled training) since I was about 15 and don't care to repeat it. But I'd consider an exception, in his case.

Some understandably think the officer should have been fired, but he resigned first according to the article:

"The fallout since the video's dissemination has been swift: The officer, Patrick Connor, who had been placed on desk duty on June 24 during an internal investigation, resigned on Wednesday amid calls for the forest preserve district to terminate his employment."
