May warns there could be 'no Brexit at all' - Mail on Sunday

Source: Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) - Prime Minister Theresa May has warned there may be “no Brexit at all” because of lawmakers’ attempts to undermine her plan to leave the European Union.

“My message to the country this weekend is simple: we need to keep our eyes on the prize,” May wrote in the Mail on Sunday newspaper. “If we don’t, we risk ending up with no Brexit at all.”

Earlier this week two senior ministers resigned in protest at May’s plans for trade with the EU after Britain leaves the bloc next March. Her blueprint was then criticised in a newspaper interview by U.S. President Donald Trump, a position he backtracked on during a meeting with May on Friday.

May also wrote in the Mail on Sunday article that Britain would take a tough stance in its next round of negotiations with the EU.

1. No BrExit would be good. Best solution is a revote, 2nd would be a referendum on exit deal.

A revote would split the CONservative Party because it would fail and the anti-immigrant wing would leave to form their own "alt-right" party. So they won't do one, despite all the mountain of evidence that 1) the vote was rigged to get the thin win, and 2) the Leave side lied by their own admission.

But a referendum on an exit deal might happen and should happen. It would save face for PM May and might not make a severe split in the Party. It is likely to nix any deal and BrExit fail.

The EU is ready to shove it up her ass and she is oblivious. The UK is on the way to becoming a third world country thanks to Brexit and they deserve it.

3. Brits should declare the initial referendum fraudulent because of Russian interference.

Calling a new referendum makes sense. Of course, opponents of staying in the EU would object, but I suspect the decision to leave would not win this time now that people are not blinded by Russian propaganda.

In what now appears to be a lose/lose situation thanks to the Brexiters that is sure a odd and ironic statement IMHO

A self inflicted economic calamity because they can't deal with immigrants from Poland and eastern Europe. Brexit won't impact immigrants from the commonwealth countries like Pakistan.

Worse than us even! At least we have a federal system so states can hold out as long as possible. And when trump is gone we can start to rebuild.

But their fuck up was a national referendum.

If Theresa May was smart, she would claim that Russia interfered with the election and Donald Trump, the Russian tool, loves Brexit. So we need a re-vote.

She should force a Re-vote even if it meant the end of her Prime ministership. She would go down as a hero of Britain

She made a serious error in fighting a general election on the frankly moronic claim that "no deal is better than a bad deal" and has been backed into a corner by extremists in her own party.
