Hillary Clinton asked President Trump which "team" he plays for ahead of his much-anticipated summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Great World Cup. Question for President Trump as he meets Putin: Do you know which team you play for?" Clinton, Trump's opponent in the 2016 presidential election, tweeted on Sunday night.
Her tweet came after France beat Croatia 4-2 to win the 2018 World Cup in Sochi, Russia.

(12,209 posts)I wouldn't be surprised if he has a closed door meeting with high-ranking GOP members (McConnell, etc).

(13,579 posts)They've been grooming him for 30 years by bailing him out of his failed real estate projects (using purchases to launder the pillaged wealth,) all while stoking his ego with the false "deal maker, real estate tycoon" nonsense. trump thinks that they think he's this big deal and, thus, that makes him think he's their "friend" and vice versa. That's why he has all the late night pillow-talk calls with putin. He's "the only one who understands, the only one who sees me as who i am -- a big and powerful mogul!"

(19,186 posts)Putin helped him win the election, not "Crooked Hillary". Only a real friend would help you out like that, so Trump sees absolutely no problem with trusting Putin, and counting him as a good friend. Trump just doesn't get it that electoral manipulation by a foreign nation is an act of war. Trump views this as a positive character trait for Putin.

(14,164 posts)By now, she'd even look moderately competent to most Republicans in comparison.
Trump has all the cards and plays the "Crooked Hillary" hand over and over. Also tries to say that its the Clintons that are in cohoots with Russia. "I'm not the puppet...you're the puppet!" So to have Hillary on the offensive, and showing Americans that she has their back (and would have been able to even more) might just win over some of the brainwashed.
I don't know if she's still depressed about the loss, or if its just the usual paralysis within the Democratic leadership to dare to make waves who is giving her this bad advice.
