Germany's foreign minister said on Monday Europe could not rely on Donald Trump and needed to close ranks after the U.S. president called the European Union a "foe" with regard to trade.

"We can no longer completely rely on the White House," Heiko Maas told the Funke newspaper group. "To maintain our partnership with the USA we must readjust it. The first clear consequence can only be that we need to align ourselves even more closely in Europe."

He added: "Europe must not let itself be divided however sharp the verbal attacks and absurd the tweets may be."

The European Union and the United States are best friends, and saying the two are foes was "fake news", European Council President Donald Tusk said on Sunday, after U.S. President Donald Trump had called the EU a foe on trade matters.

A traitor president and his equally traitorous republican party are taking down US and European democracy in service to a fascist dictator in Russia.

Barring that democracy will be finished in this country and Europe will soon follow. Trump is building his detention camps already on US military bases. If you think they are just for kidnapped Mexican babies, you are very wrong.

I can't in my darkest imagination think of all the horrors that a fascist theocratic America, Europe and Russia would bring on this world.

Every democrat in this nation has a solemn duty to vote this year and to convince as many people as possible to vote dem as well.

The midterms are life and death this year.

The rest of the world is turning against the U.S. They have to protect themselves. I'm wondering if the tRump/Putin meeting is about escalating it all to WWIII, and how they will divide up the spoils afterward. Of course, then Putin will off tRump so he can rule the world.
