GOP chairman in talks with Trump officials on restarting key ObamaCare payments

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) said Monday that he is in talks with the Trump administration about ways to restart key ObamaCare payments that the administration abruptly suspended this month.

The administration’s surprise suspension of $10.4 billion in payments to insurers this month set off a round of warnings of rising premiums and condemnation from Democrats who said it was further GOP “sabotage” of the health-care law.

Brady, a key congressional Republican on health-care issues, told reporters Monday that he is talking with Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and others about how to restart the payments.

“The administration wants to restore those payments, so we're looking at ways that we can help them do that,” Brady said.

skirting responsibility for the payment suspensions in the first place. The whole rotten party needs to suffer for their irresponsibilities, and that reckoning must take place in November at the polls.


Truly, however, I hope the party is successful in reinstating those payments. Their loss has potential to cause radical raises in premiums, which will financially impact millions of citizens (yours truly among them).

7. They are using a single federal district court case that questioned the formula used for the

payments as their excuse...so they now want to "restore" the payments they were "forced" to suspend. See how that works?

Seems the Trump folk never heard of those things called "appeal courts". It is all a fucking game they play with people's lives, because propganda is above all else.

That would be totally counter-productive in their minds. You don't take $$ from rich and give to poor, you take away everything the poor & working class has and give it to the rich. drumpf did this for a reason and he never backs down from his destruction, not really. He can do it partway, or he can lie and say he's doing it and find every way NOT to do it (like with family reunification), that's it. Hate and greed are what motivate him, and after yesterday I wonder if fear isn't also in play?
