The New York Daily News hammered President Donald Trump with its Tuesday cover, suggesting that his refusal to publicly condemn Russian leader Vladimir Putin was treason.
During a news conference Monday in Helsinki, Finland, Trump would not blame Russia or Putin for interference in the 2016 U.S. election, saying were all to blame for poor relations between the two countries. U.S. intelligence and government officials have concluded that the Kremlin meddled in the 2016 presidential election.
So the New York Daily News reacted to Trumps remarks with a brutal illustration and headline, accusing the president of siding with an enemy over his own country. The illustration alluded to a statement Trump made during his presidential campaign that he could shoot someone on New Yorks Fifth Avenue and not lose voters.

(48,999 posts)When I View Image from the OP, it looks great.
But I'm curious about my browser settings that I get so many images that way. Firefox 61.0.1 (up to date), Windows 7, set Do Not Track, cookies disabled except for Democratic Underground and a few select sites not including pbs.twimg.com (twitter) where the image comes from. Also, sites like Twitter don't operate (links, show video, etc) unless I allow their cookies. But even when I allow a cookie from Twitter, not even a hard reload will show the image.

(22,990 posts)Good chance your solution is in the "Check image permissions for a specific website" section.
I'm using 61.0.1, too, and all's fine.

(48,999 posts)1) First change didn't work (per your link, thanks for posting)
I set browser.display.document_color_use back to the default 0 (had been 1) in about:config. Even restarting Firefox didn't fix it after doing that.
For DU I have Image Permissions set to Allow.
2) I did some more searching and found https://github.com/mozilla/blok/issues/187
That got me onto fiddling with tracking. I had Load Images turned on for DU, so that seemed strange. Couldn't get a way to turn it on for pbs.twimg.com (right-click the i icon in left part of address bar) until I went through the right pointing arrow and then clicked more info. I turned off Default for load images, and that made the Allow radio button un-gray. I'm sure I did it at pbs.twimg.com and not DU, but now DU has changed icon but not permissions but pbs.twimg.com does not.
Anyway, images from twitter load correctly now. Thanks for your help!

Excellent! It seems almost unfair that this tabloid has never won a Pulitzer for its outrageous but frequently spot-on covers. (Just looked and, surprisingly, did win one for editorial writing in 1999. Maybe the NY advantage.)
Thanks, Judi Lynn.
