Russia wants to interrogate ex-U.S. ambassador McFaul, other Americans in criminal case
Source: New York Daily News
Russian prosecutors want to interrogate American officials including former ambassador Michael McFaul over alleged involvement in money crimes in the aftermath of President Trumps summit with Vladimir Putin.
Putin had mentioned the alleged crimes of American-British financier Bill Browder when responding to questions about the 12 Russian military intelligence officers indicted in the U.S. in the hacking of Democratic emails during the 2016 election.
Browder, who became rich in Moscow during the relatively lawless days of the 1990s post-Soviet Union, is a common bête noire for the Putin government, though prosecutors claimed Wednesday that American intelligence services may have also been involved in an illegal scheme.
A list of U.S. officials announced by Russias Prosecutor General's office on Tuesday included members of the State Department, Department of Homeland Security and CIA, as well as McFaul.

It's crystal clear why Russia wants to smear McFaul's name, and why it believes Trump would want to go along:
McFaul can personally verify allegations within the Steele Dossier, including Kremlin propagandist Konstantin Rykov's claims of Carter Page's activities in Moscow in July 2016.
(McFaul and Rykov had a long running feud over social media.)

(16,371 posts)McFaul is now in private life so he doesn't have to go if the traitor in chief orders it, but what about those who are still employed by the government? If dumbfuck gives the order to cooperate with Russian intel, can they refuse to go?

I for one would like to know where, exactly, he was just before his stroke.
Sounds to me like he may have seen and/or heard something he shouldn't have.

Everyone sees it - except the Orange Oaf himself.
Putin is no fool, but he knows a fool when he sees one. He looked very smug and amused at the press conference, as his pet performed for the cameras.

Don't think this couldn't happen. And don't think for a minute that he would require the indicted Russians extradited in return.
