Measure to split up California pulled pulled from November ballot by State Supreme Court

Source: ABC 7 News

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KGO) -- The California Supreme Court has blocked a measure that would divide the state in three from appearing on the November ballot.

The court's ruling states that because there are questions about the proposition's validity, the potential harm of putting it on the ballot now outweighs concerns about delaying the vote until a future election

Prop 9 qualified for the November ballot last month.

The proposal, led by venture capitalist Tim Draper, would split the country's most populous state into three new states of near-equal population: Northern California, California and Southern California, according to the proposal.

Once to get it off and a second time to give it back to the sits that proposed it in the first place.

It would take years and years to pass it, cost tons of money and would waste valuable time and energy. It was an ill conceived plan by an idiot with a personal agenda.

This proposition only got the signatures needed for a statutory change. This measure did not get the signatures needed for an amendment to California's constitution. The court was correct here

Everyone of these Extremist RW Propositions (usually created & funded by the relentless Koch Bros Machine) costs Ca taxpayers tons of money in extra costs for the booklets & ballot inclusions..
