Wilbur Ross envisions progress on trade disputes "well within a year"

Source: Axios

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said in an interview with CNBC on Thursday that he believes Trump's trade war will move toward a resolution "well within a year."

"I think we will have made very substantial progress well within a year. Whether it's gonna be exactly China, whether it'll be EU, whether it'll be NAFTA, I would be very surprised if we were in this exact same situation as we are now."

The details: One reason Ross cites for his optimism is that Beijing is having difficulty sustaining its war against American soybeans. "They're literally having to pay farmers to try to convince them to grow soybeans instead of a more lucrative crop," Ross said.

All kinds of ways to off set US soybeans.

First, go somewhere else straight up
Second, with the asshole using trade agreements to wipe his ass across the globe, other countries will be more willing to act as pass through's that might violate the standing agreements he is walking away from - US will be forced to unload them as a cheaper price to other countries, that will simply charge a small fee to direct them to China
Third, increase growing at home
Fourth, use other feeds

The GOP already was 90% of the way toward not having even the first understanding of governance due to believing the dumbed down hate government bullshit they have been slamming into their goobers heads for decades, but the 45 admin has put the nail in the coffin of their complete inability to govern - they spend 50% of the time looking to raid the tax payer dollars and 50% of the time trying to bullshit through their fuckups.

Some of the lies -
Tax cuts will raise GDP to 8% Truth - it's barely 3%, same as under Obama and probably dropping now

Tax cuts will help the economy, decrease the deficit & raise wages - Truth - deficit is higher than ever before, skyrocketing under drumpfs tax cut for rich

Tax cuts will benefit working class - Truth - total lie, 77% of the benefits went to wealthy now, within 10 years 99% will go to wealthy and middle class and poor will pay much greater rates

Trade wars are easy to win, no pain Truth - companies are laying off workers due to drying up of business from Canada, China & Europe and farmers are poised to lose their shirts.

how many jobs will be lost, how many family farms will be bankrupted, how many suicides will result from this, and lastly, how the hell do tariffs help anyone.
