‘It borders on treason’: Ex-ambassador to China tells CNN Trump ‘can’t be trusted’ with classified info

Max Baucus, a former Democratic senator from Montana and a former U.S. ambassador to China, did not mince words when discussing the threat President Donald Trump poses to American national security.

“He cannot be trusted,” Baucus said bluntly of Trump. “You cannot trust this man. More likely than not, he will transfer classified information to a foreign power — he can’t be trusted.”

Baucus went on to say that Trump’s actions with regard to Russia come very close to outright betraying the United States.

“It borders on virtual treason, quite frankly,” he said.
