Trump tweets old video of Clinton talking up 'a strong Russia'

Source: The Hill

BY JACQUELINE THOMSEN - 07/19/18 02:54 PM EDT

President Trump on Thursday tweeted a partial clip of then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arguing that a “strong Russia” is in the world’s best interest, hitting Democrats and the media for the comments.

The clip appears to be from a 2010 interview Clinton did with First Channel Television, which is partially owned by the Russian government.

“We want very much to have a strong Russia because a strong, confident, prosperous, stable Russia is, we think, in the interests of the world,” Clinton says in the brief clip. The clip has recently been shared by some pro-Trump figures on Twitter, including actor James Woods.

The Secretary of State was responding to a question about “America’s place in the modern world” when she made the remark during the 2010 interview.

and after NATO rejected Russia's application.

which is what Obama, Hillary, and Kerry wanted with Putin.

And what Cheeto has with Putin, which is basically prostitution.

Except it's the nation that's getting f***ed.

so we'd at least get a cut of the profits. This is the opposite. He's getting the money and we're getting screwed.

Stable. As in a stable genius.

Stability in the region is good. What we do not want is Russia trying to expand and take over other nations and regions. If Russia remained stable with a stable economy and did not feel it needed to invade and take over other regions, it would be in everyone's best interest.

Instead we have Putin killing adversaries and journalists, invading and occupying other country's territory, and actively trying to influence democratic elections in other countries. This is not good.

As you've noticed, that's the new GOPee narrative:

"Hell's bells, we just want good relations with Russia - unlike them Democrats who want war and all."

Bullshit (of course). They want "good relations" - to the point of treason - as long as Putin steals elections for them.

It was in dire financial straits, as I recall. I don't know much about worldwide markets, but the potential for further collapse probably caused some waves. That's probably what she was referring to.

by Putin. There's something about Putin's unassuming ways in person that other men in power aren't used to, maybe (as regards Bush). Don't know why Clinton fell for the leader of Russia, whoever it was.

The article went on to talk about how wrong they were, and how dangerous Russia was. I don't know if Clinton had a chance to realize he'd been fooled, but Bush did. Remember how Bush talked about looking into Putin's eyes and seeing his soul and how concerned Putin was about his citizens? (barf)

These despots...they aren't like democratic leaders. Apparently they know how to appear to be normal and humble in person. In reality, they are murderous thugs.
