Federal prosecutors have received 12 audio tapes seized from President Trump's former attorney, Michael Cohen.

Special master Barbara Jones, who was assigned to review seized items from Cohen by the FBI earlier this year, said the 12 audio tapes were released to federal investigators and prosecutors on Friday, though the content of the tapes is unclear.

Last week, the news broke that Cohen had secretly recorded a conversation with Trump in 2016 in which they discussed payments to a former Playboy model who said she had an affair with Trump.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney of another woman who says she had an affair with Trump, adult film star Stormy Daniels, said last Wednesday that Cohen has tapes with "inappropriate conversations" between himself and Trump.

...were originally designated by Special Master as "possibly" protected as private, personal, or privileged. All parties with standing waived protection of the ruling, allowing them to go to SDNY prosecutors. So yes, MIGHT be nothing, might be something.

Unless SDNY prosecutors want to release pre-trial (which they won't), or COHEN wants to release publicly pre-trial (which seems unlikely, if they really have something on them that incriminates either party with standing), or #TreasonWeasle releases the tapes (no idea what that crayon eating nit will do), the public isn't likely to ever know what's on 'em. At least pre-trial...

That the only tapes the Feds could get their hands on are ones that in some way exonerate Dumpie.

Hell, wouldn't surprise me ONE BIT ... if him and Cohen 'staged' a bunch of tapes, thinking someday these payments would come out, and if there's 'tapes' of Trump seeming to not 'go along' with the plan, that's his get outta jail free card.

Don't underestimate Mob Bosses and Mob Lawyers, people.
