Whistleblower provides emails that show Stormy Daniels' arrest was pre-planned

Source: Fayette Advocate

In an exclusive investigation, the Advocate has obtained emails from a whistleblower from inside the Columbus Police Department that outline the arrest of Stormy Daniels earlier this month may have been pre-planned days before she ever arrived in town.

Columbus Police arrested the adult entertainer — who claims to have had an affair with then-private citizen Donald Trump in 2006 — on July 12. Police said that Daniels violated an Ohio law by “touching” club-goers, who were actually undercover VICE officers. The charges were dismissed 12 hours later after Daniels hired Columbus defense attorney Chase Mallory. Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein said the elements were not met in the charges and that is why the cases were tossed out. Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs apologized and called it a “mistake.”

Within hours of her arrest, Daniels’ personal attorney Michael Avenatti called it a political hit-job and vowed to investigate.

A whistleblower from the City of Columbus contacted the Advocate with numerous emails between several high-ranking Columbus police detectives and VICE officers.

The officers involved in this do not deserve to work in law enforcement. They should also face criminal charges.

Um, this sounds a whole lot like a criminal Civil Rights violation and I believe there are several State and Federal laws that may have been violated. The term is something like "violation of civil rights under the color of authority". If there are actually emails with people in LEO or the prosecutors office discussing "trying" or "finding a way" to arrest/charge Daniels prior to the show, they are in deed, deep shit.

The thing I really like is that LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS allegedly participated in this illegal premeditated arrest.

Aren't they supposed to know the laws that they are tasked with enforcing? These officers have endangered their own careers and freedom for partisan political actions. How stupid.

I hope Mr. Avenatti goes after them with his throttles at full.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This will result in a civil rights action against to detective and it will be settled. I’ll be curious to see if the City provides a defense or indemnifies the detective. She was intentionally engaging in unconstitutional and unlawful, if not criminal, conduct. She should lose her job and perhaps be prosecuted.

I know police plan stings, but there are specific regs and laws against entrapment to prevent unwarranted arrests.

This sounds to me like it met the definition of unwarranted.

If she actually did the 'touching', whatever that is, and there is a law or ordinance against it, then it doesn't matter if the cops planned it. If they lied and made up a story, then they're in big trouble.

So, it doesn't matter what she did, it was literally impossible for her to break the (basically never enforced) prudis laws.

And yes, it does matter if the cops planned it and set her up, even if she HAD broken the law. WTF.

The advance planning of a false arrest is about as low as a cop can go.

The dirty Columbus cops should be fired, arrested and (very) publicly tried.
