U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is reportedly set to deport the wife of a former U.S. Marine and Iraq combat veteran early next month.
Alejandra Juarez, 38, was notified on Tuesday that she will be deported back to Mexico in nine days, Military Times reported Wednesday.
She illegally crossed the southern border into the U.S. in 1998 and married former Marine Sgt. Cuauhtemoc "Temo" Juarez in 2000, the news outlet noted, adding that Temo Juarez served as an infantryman in the Marines from 1995 to 1999 and was deployed to both Africa and South America before later joining the Army National Guard in Orlando, Fla.
The family, which includes two daughters, would be split up if Alejandra Juarez's deportation goes through, as she is planning to take 8-year-old Estela with her back to Mexico, according to Military Times.

The "patriotism" and support of veterans from the right is easily overcome by their racism.

(51,554 posts)She is married to a US Citizen. She is the mother of 2 US Citizens. This not only violates her rights, but that of 3 US Citizens to their wife and mother.
And for what? She committed a misdemeanor boarder crossing without papers 20 years ago and has an otherwise clean record.

(90,766 posts)My cousin has a green card and has had a green card for 50 years, married to an American, in her 70's, not even a parking ticket to her name, and she is worried now.
And she's not the only one. I know some naturalized citizens who are also concerned.
Trump can't be trusted - he's cruel, vicious, and ignorant.

(7,142 posts)I believe she worked in the U.S. under a tourist visa and if that's the case, she lied to immigration which makes her naturalization null and void. She needs to produce her work visas. I worked in other countries and I have copies of my work visas, they staple them right in your passport. I say Melania is a candidate for deportation.

(2,585 posts)The common man is a "thing" to use and enrich the status of the well to do and wealthy. Look how they worship money and what they will do to gain more and more. President "bone spurs" is a prime example. Apparently the wealthy and well to do are more valuable people and the common man can be used (one example in combat re: Iraq ( to the benefit of the "better than the little man". And you so called "Christians" who support this administration do not follow Christ as he NEVER forced people to following him through government laws. If you could banish Roe VS Wade through government law you would do it. This soldier was useful in combat but retaining his wife in the US is not so to hell with this former soldier - used is what I call it and to you cons patrolling this board don't give me this crap that this post belongs in the general discussion.
