Cuomo and state Dems set to ramp up effort against New York congressional Republicans Kenneth Lovet

With congressional primaries out of the way, Gov. Cuomo and the state Democratic Party he controls are set to ramp up efforts to help Dems reclaim the House.

Cuomo’s campaign on Monday is set to donate the maximum $2,700 to 10 Democratic House candidates throughout the state, including those taking on all nine incumbent Republicans and one running for an open seat in Rochester.

Cuomo will also help candidates raise money and will campaign through November to flip GOP seats, a source said. He recently held a fund-raiser for Anthony Brindisi, a Utica-area assemblyman challenging first-term Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney, who is considered vulnerable.
