The Kansas man who yelled Get out of my country! before murdering Srinivas Kuchibhotla and injuring two others in February of last year was given three consecutive life sentences Tuesday, according to Kansas Citys KSHB.
If you could have kept your anger inside and spoke to my husband softly, Srinu would have been more than happy to share his background and help you understand that not every brown skinned person is suspicious or evil, but kind, smart and contributing to America, Kuchibhotlas widow, Sunayana Dumala, said in a statement read by prosecutors in court Tuesday, according to the Kansas City Star.
Instead you chose to rage and bully in anger and when you were stopped, you decided to take their lives.
Adam Purinton pleaded guilty to three federal hate crime charges in May.

(160,530 posts)I was so afraid this clown wouldn't get the thumping he has coming.
Thank goodness justice actually made an appearance. As well know, that doesn't always happen nearly as much as it should.
Bless the wife and family and friends of this good man who was destroyed by pure evil, and may he rest in peace.
Thank you, so much.

(66,369 posts)Three consecutive life sentences can't bring your victim back, but I promise to enjoy thoughts of you eating prison food and sleeping in your own stink for the rest of your miserable life.

(8,311 posts)... to remove the apparent reference to prison rape as justice.
I'm not defending the man himself or what he's done, but my father was raped in juvenile prison (NC's Stonewall Jackson Training School), and when he went back in as an adult having HIV was probably what kept it from happening again. His crimes were truancy and later on drug possession, but he was of small stature. Not just heinous criminals are targeted.
So it seems really insensitive, but I have a personal reason why I don't find such references funny.
Thanks.

(37,648 posts)That's not what I was referring to. It is well known, and a fact, that men in prison have sex.

(8,311 posts)... it's not like you can really call all such relationships "consensual". Some genuine relationships might develop between inmates that aren't inherently corrupted by a power dynamic, but far too many are.
Still, if you want to double down on the implications of equating prison to a romantic comedy, go right ahead. Especially one where the romcom portion of the storyline was usually focused on crew and passenger interactions, not passenger interactions.
If you can't see it... not worth my breath. Have a nice day.

(37,648 posts)I accept your apology for misreading the post..
If you don't see the justice in karma, not worth my breath. These are lifers...hard core murderers. The prison population, as we know, has a high population of minorities. This murderer killed someone for being a minority. This is the stuff that Twilight Zone episodes are made of. It is the height of irony or karma or whatever you want to call it.
As you said, have a nice day.
BTW...I was abused by my parents, and I was raped once. I have not spent my life expecting other people not to mention such things in my presence. Life on earth involves these harsh realities. I am not in a position to tell people what to think or say. If a rapist ends up being raped, I don't feel sorry for him, although I wouldn't actively wish it. But it is a harsh reality and karma in that instance...and it exists, whether someone mentions it or not. I am not n favor of pretending that reality doesn't exist.

(8,311 posts)So he should rot without wasting any more money than it takes to keep him in three hots and a cot.
Appeals cost us a lot more money than housing prisoners.
