Rupert Murdoch backs anti-Barack Obama documentary

Rupert Murdoch has urged all American voters to go and see an anti-Barack Obama documentary which has proven a surprise box-office hit.
2016: Obama's America, which suggests the US president will work to reduce his country's influence on world affairs if he is re-elected this winter, has made more than $10.5m (£6.6m) in receipts in seven weeks of release and is gathering momentum. It entered the US box-office top 10 at the weekend in eighth place.
"Just saw 2016. Truly scary if no answer. Every voter should see and decide for self what future they want for America," tweeted Murdoch, who has been a regular user of the microblogging service since the beginning of the year. The Australian-born News Corporation founder, who resigned as a director of News International last month in the wake of the News of the World hacking scandal, is a US citizen and maintains a large business empire in the States including the film studio 20th Century Fox and the TV station Fox News.
2016: Obama's America is directed by conservative author and commentator Dinesh D'Souza, an Indian American who argues that the president's political instincts are anti-American allegedly due to the influence of his purportedly anti-colonialist Kenyan father Barack Obama Sr. It warns that a second term for the Democratic candidate in November's presidential election could change the country for good and ends with the statement: "The future is in your hands."

(2,702 posts)A box-office hit usually means millions of people spend $10-$20 a ticket to generate revenue for the movie, not 10-20 people spending millions of dollars buying up tickets to inflate the numbers.

Murdoch is like one of those monsters in a horror film that keeps popping up when you throught you had killed it the first time.
Anyway, "It warns that a second term for the Democratic candidate in November's presidential election could change the country for good..." is no bad thing! Here's hoping.

I'd recommend people go and watch 'Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism' instead.

If anyone takes Murdoch's advice they deserve what they get, quite frankly.

The future I want starts with Rupert Murdoch's funeral.

So now all the Democrat liberals and progressives should support more and meaner US imperialism just to show the other party that they are better in doing bad to other peoples?

(25,111 posts)journalism ain't journalism and propaganda is running rampant here in America. He is a major part of the "LYING GAME". If he supports this disingenuous movie not a documentary, then we know its full of shit.
