Lanny Davis: Cohen 'more than happy' to tell Mueller 'all that he knows'
Source: The Hill
Michael Cohen's attorney on Tuesday night said his client had knowledge that would be "of interest" to Robert Mueller and would be willing to tell the special counsel all that he knows."
Mr. Cohen has knowledge on certain subjects that should be of interest to the special counsel and is more than happy to tell the special counsel all that he knows, Davis said on MSNBC's "Rachel Maddow Show."
Cohen's attorney added that President Trump had knowledge of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting, as well as advanced knowledge of the 2016 hacking of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) by Russian intelligence officers.
Davis, who is a contributor to The Hill, would not say whether Cohen has already been in contact with the special counsel, which is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible obstruction of justice on the part of Trump.

(2,309 posts)The longer Manafort waits, the less valuable his knowledge becomes. Manafort also becomes less valuable to Putin if the Russian plan to fix the election can be proven by other means and other witnesses.

(5,810 posts)more than likely Manafort sloppily committed state level crimes, too. And tRump has no authority to pardon those crimes. If he evaded federal taxes, he probably made matching tax returns for his state forms. So he might get one noose from around his neck, only to have it replaced by another.

(5,732 posts)hopefully, the GOP senators and representatives, that are not owned by the Putin/Koch mob,
will start to dessert Trump in order to save their jobs.

(51,559 posts)As numerous former prosecutors have commented, this is done in private meetings.
What this tells me is Cohen's attorneys have not been successful at these meetings. Mueller apparently doesn't want to give Cohen a deal, and Mueller must have a good reason for that.
