WH: Trump 'Not Concerned' About What Cohen Can Offer Mueller

Source: Talking Points Memo

President Donald Trump is cool as a cucumber amid the turmoil of the past 48 hours, if you take it from press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

When asked Wednesday if Trump was worried about the frequently teased information Michael Cohen could offer special counsel Robert Mueller, Sanders maintained that he was serene in the conviction of his innocence.

“I don’t think the President is concerned at all,” she said. “He knows that he did nothing wrong and that there was no collusion and we’re going to continue focusing on things that Americans care about and that we can have an impact on.”

WH: ‘Ridiculous Accusation’ That Trump Lied About Knowledge Of Cohen Payments

By Nicole Lafond

August 22, 2018 3:01 pm

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday said it was a “ridiculous accusation” that President Donald Trump may have lied when he denied having knowledge of the payments his lawyer Michael Cohen made to women who alleged having an affair with Trump.

Just a few months ago, Trump told reporters on Air Force One that “no” he did not know about the hush payments Cohen had made just days before the 2016 election. But in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, Trump admitted that he found out about the payments “later,” but wasn’t aware of them at the time they were made.

In an audio recording of a conversation between Trump and Cohen, the President was heard discussing the payments with Cohen not long before they were made.

White House Insists Trump ‘Did Nothing Wrong’ After Cohen Guilty Plea

By Matt Shuham
August 22, 2018 2:54 pm
The White House maintained Wednesday that Michael Cohen’s guilty plea did not mean that President Donald Trump had broken the law, even though Cohen said he was instructed by Trump to break the law— and despite audio of Trump speaking to Cohen about a potential hush money payment related to one of the charges against Cohen.

“As the President has said, and we’ve stated many times, he did nothing wrong,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at a press briefing Wednesday. “There are no charges against him and we have commented on this extensively.”

“Just because Michael Cohen made a plea deal doesn’t mean that that implicates the President on anything,” she added later.

2. So, what, Chucklenutz, we're supposed to believe he didn't 'find out' about paying Cohen back until

AFTER he said on AF1 he didn't know about the payments? What about the $35K monthly 'retainer' fee (a retainer that didn't exist, btw) that's cited in the court documents that began taking place immediately after Trumps election (and WAY before AF1). He 'didn't know' those payments were being made at the time? RIIIIGHT.

Even though, we HAVE HIM PLOTTING THIS SHIT ON FUCKING TAPE?!?

And of course there's no 'charges' against Trump, he's friggin' POTUS. No POTUS has ever been indicted, and there's serious questions about whether one even CAN BE, so this little observation means JACK SHIT.

How fucking stupid do you think the US public is you lying POS?!?

4. So taking Red Don's word for it that he knew about the payments LATER sounds like its still a crime

6. He's so not concerned that he's started calling Cohen "the rat" in private

because that's totally what an unconcerned, innocent person would do.

He can testify that Trump knew about the hacking and was complicit.

He can corroborate events described in the Steele Dossier.

He probably has knowledge and records regarding Trump laundering money for Russian mobsters.

Mikey C is just getting started.
