Duncan Hunter indictment scrambles California election plans

Rep. Duncan Hunter’s (R) indictment has put his traditionally red seat in Southern California in play this fall, further scrambling the GOP’s effort to hang on to its majority.

Democrats had already planned to use the FBI investigation into Hunter’s alleged misuse of campaign funds as a weapon against Duncan in the midterms.

But the indictment, which claims Hunter and his wife misused thousands of dollars in campaign money to pay for lavish vacations and other personal expenses, has given new ammunition to Democrats in their quest to flip Hunter’s seat.

Immediately following Tuesday’s indictment, The Cook Political Report, a non-partisan election handicapper, shifted his seat from safe to competitive.

Just like Applegate kneecapped Issa with megaphoning in 2016 that Issa voted against The 911 First Responders. Both Districts Deep Red voters, a lot of them are active & retired military and fire & police.. A bridge too far for them is any candidate who would vote against or cheat patriots who endanger their lives for others.
With Hunter you have the glaring hypocrisy of basing almost his entire political id as pro military and the repulsive facts of his
endless personal itemizations.. from golf shorts to lavish meals and European Vacations.. faked as Wounded Warrior contributions and Military Trips. It's not just the compulsive level of Hunter cheating, it is who he cheated that deserves his voters attention.
