Source: The Washington Post

Earlier this week, Trump interviewed Cipollone, a former Justice Department attorney who practices commercial litigation at Stein Mitchell Cipollone Beato & Missner, according to two people familiar with the president's thinking.
Cipollone has been working behind the scenes advising Trump's outside legal team since June. This is a developing story. It will be updated.

in the universe, somebody who's represented clients in big money-laundering and tax cases, and who is an expert on constitutional law as well. But he won't get a lawyer like that because all of them have already been hired by other people who might be witnesses against him.

Because he's an arrogant fucking dumbass who can't keep his mouth shut and can't follow simple instructions--two things credible defense attorneys insist on.

No wonder his legal team has a revolving door. I can't imagine how frustrating and awful it must be to work for him.

I seem to recall one of his attorneys submitted a legal brief in which the word "affidavit " was misspelled throughout. Not even a junior-grade paralegal from a two-year diploma mill would do that.

But Trump wants a stooge who'll protect him personally, and if he thinks Cipollone will do that he'll hire him. I hope Cipollone cares about his law license and his freedom, and thinks carefully about what happened to John Dean.

Litigation is all Trump has known his whole life. Although it is obvious that Trump has committed many criminal acts in his past, he has never had to defend himself against criminal charges. He still doesn't get it.
