China's Xi offers $60 bn Africa aid, says 'no strings attached'

Source: Agence France-Presse

3 SEP 2018

President Xi Jinping told African leaders Monday that China's investments on the continent have "no political strings attached", pledging $60 billion in new development financing, even as Beijing is increasingly criticised over its debt-heavy projects abroad.

Xi offered the funding at the start of a two-day China-Africa summit that focused on his cherished Belt and Road initiative. The money -- to be spent over the next three years -- comes on top of $60 billion Beijing offered in 2015.

The massive Belt and Road scheme is aimed at improving Chinese access to foreign markets and resources, and boosting Beijing's influence abroad.

China has poured billions in loans for roads, railways, ports and other major infrastructure projects in Asia and Africa.

But it's probably easier to trust China than the country that enslaved millions of it's people.

keeping ameriKa in a ranking of 'superpower' is our weapon technology and the nuclear arsenal that has us now ruling, as "the most powerful nation on earth", by fear of a madman at the helm of 'our ship of state'.

3. Like the conference-building that came with built-in bugs reporting to chinese intelligence?

China gifted the African Union a conference-building. Computer-network included. Then it was found that the computers report back to China.

But don't worry: An AU-official (who was not bribed at all) assured the public that nothing important was talked about anyways in that building.

Ahhh I call bullshit.. You don't get nothing for nothing from them.. They see the africans continent as the next big cheap labor pool for their industry.. Any contact they have with the africans is minimal accept for talks. They live in walled off compounds away from the
"little people" of the country...

We're unfortunately being left behind because of trump, neglect and racism.

It's stupid as the African continent is rich in natural resources.

Agree, and it's also about cheap labor to produce the products of those natural resources. With their burgeoning economy and their middle class exploding they need low income people to do that work. Japan in the late 40's? cheap labor. Taiwan in the 50's? cheap labor. India and China in the '70's and '80's? cheap labor.

It seems like every time I hear about a species being threatened it's due to "Chinese medicine" and more specifically "potency".

Enough with the penis-worship already!!!!

7. Erik Prince and China.......

Baidoa, Somalia — Former Navy SEAL and founder of the now defunct private security company Blackwater, who holds the title of CEO for the Hong Kong based private equity firm Frontier Services Group (FSG), Erik Prince, just signed a lucrative contract deal with South-West State within the highly contested, conflict-ridden region of southern Somalia.

Prince and his FSG are no strangers to investing in Africa or providing ‘security solutions’ to the continent either, after negotiations with the of the South West State of Somalia’s President Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden. FSG was given the contract of providing logistical support to the Somali South West State’s Administration council’s Free Zone Investment Authority (FZIA), which is designed to attract foreign investments into the southern Somalia region with the intent on creating jobs, reanimate the flaccid economy, and inject wealth and prosperity back into the war-torn south. All of which will need Prince’s trademark “advanced protective services” to keep his Chinese and possibly United Arab Emirates (UAE) investors money secure.

Snip....
Article from ,2017, but there's a connection Prince - China - African nations

Look up CITIC, China's state company. African resources are high commodities....

Frontier Services Group (FSG) is an Africa-focused security, aviation, and logistics company founded and led by Erik Prince, the former head of Blackwater Worldwide. Prince has described FSG's main corporate mission as helping Chinese businesses to work safely in Africa. The company operates logistical projects for shipping routes in Africa, and also conducts high-risk evacuations from conflict zones.[1]

15. Here's the aid we're giving, besides the drone base in Niger. It's what we're good at.

One maybe good thing I've seen in the states is that military bases provide off-base business for surrounding areas.

Is stabilization for capitalism all we're about? Or destabilization for "disaster capitalism." No one has addressed Americans about this. The Big Decision Club knows, but we ain't in it.

The FP map covers the drone coverage we have in Africa.
