(145,631 posts)The DOJ used Section 5 to force the state to provide ballots in all required languages. My county is subject to DOJ cease and desist order that requires spanish speaking poll workers at all polling locations

(11,088 posts)There is a lot of common ground Republicans can try to appeal to minorities and sway them to vote for them (like they tried in 2000-2012). But at this point they just settled for taking away their constitutionally protected rights. Definitely the epitome of a shithole party. This should be in itself considered a hate crime and they should be stripped from the status as a political party.

(17,984 posts)I mean, the majority of our government is Russian. They are making damned sure it stays that way through the SCOTUS, gerrymandering the mid-terms, and anything else they can think of.
